Since I came out of the closet as transgender, I have reached out to trans Bible scholars before me and, in turn, others have started to reach out to me for resources of reading the Bible while trans. I have started a resource page, for a project I am referring to as Trans/Textuality. This, right now, is focused on the tributaries of thought that inform my and others’ readings of the Bible while being trans – or LBGTQIA+ more generally. I hope it is helpful.
I hope to take these resources and begin to post on individual passages or clusters of passages that people have historically used against trans people and passages that could bring trans people some hope. I hope everyone can find some insight on this page and any other posts about Trans/Textuality.
